BNSF switchers 2100/GP38-2, built 11/1974 and 2880/GP39M, built 12/1964 pulling a mixed freight string S from Canada on the main track, seen crossing Garfield St.  This picture taken from just E of Railway St., Sumas, WA.  A beautiful clear morning in sunny Sumas!
picture B, looking N on Railway St., Sumas, WA.
A short time later the switchers have stopped at Second St.  The wooded knoll seen on the left is Moe's Hill, a local landmark.  The beautiful snowy mountains in the background are in Canada.
Thanks for visiting Railfan in Sumas, WA, a visual diary of rail transport in my community.
