An orphan BNSF slug 337/GP60B, built 7/1991, alone and idling on the main track between Bowen Rd and Front St., Sumas, WA.  This picture taken from HWY 9.  The slug was left at this spot by the new pair of switchers who had just come to town for the March rotation.  The building to the right belongs to EPL Feed LLC in the Sumas Industrial Park.

15 minutes later.  BNSF switchers 2100/GP38-2, built 11/1974 and 2880/GP39M, built 12/1964 have just hooked onto the stationary slug.

20 minutes later, a serendipitous shot of 2100, 2880 and slug 337 with attached mixed freight, rolling toward Nooksack, WA, already 5 miles SW of Sumas.  This picture taken from HWY 9 just S of Alm, Rd

Although I do not normally take photos outside Sumas, it was just interesting to watch 2100, 2880 and slug 337 continue to roll S into Nooksack some 6 miles SW of Sumas.  This picture was taken from E Madison St., Nooksack, WA., just east of HWY 9.

2100, 2800 and slug 337 finally stopped just N of E. Madison St. in Nooksack, WA.  It was interesting watching 2100 and 2880 leave Sumas today after being the dedicated switchers in town since 30 January, 2016.  Thanks for visiting Railfan in Sumas, WA., a visual diary of rail transport in my community.
