BNSF switcher 2281/GP38-2, built 7/1974 stationary and idling at the head of a string of container cars (BNSF switcher 2723/GP39-2, built 4/1981) was at the other end of this long string. This picture taken just N of the BNSF X'ing in the Sumas Industrial Park at Bob Mitchell Ave., 1/4 mile W of Cherry St., Sumas, WA. The consist was parked on the Lynden-Sumas spur.
